About Me
I'm Erkan Balaban — a technology leader and entrepreneur with a strong background in engineering leadership across e-commerce, automotive, broadcasting, manufacturing, and finance. I combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise to turn complex ideas into sustainable, production-grade systems.
Throughout my career I have led cross-functional teams, built Agile-driven delivery cultures, and designed architectures that support long-term growth and operational excellence. I work at the intersection of business vision and technical execution — translating strategic goals into well-structured platforms, robust APIs, and user-centered applications.
As the founder of Zenith Times Technology, my focus is on scalable, secure software solutions — from enterprise .NET backends to modern Flutter mobile applications — built with long-term sustainability, performance, and clarity in mind.
Why I Built This Site
After years of onboarding developers and reviewing code in large engineering teams, I noticed the same gaps recurring: misapplied patterns, monolithic designs that should have been modular, and business logic entangled with infrastructure. I built Design Patterns In Action to give developers a single, comprehensive reference — not just definitions, but real working code in 11 languages, UML diagrams, trade-off analysis, and guides that go from the classic GoF 23 all the way to modern enterprise architecture.
I believe great technology is not just about writing code — it is about building systems, teams, and visions that stand the test of time.
